100% Carignan

Situated between Nîmes and Arles, the Mas du Chene vineyards cover some 40 hectares, 15 of which they work organically for Mas du Chêne. The rest of the fruit is sold to the local co-op. The terroir is composed of galets roulés over stoney soils which offer good drainage and healthiness in the vineyard.

The Arriere is half destemmed and half whole bunch, undergoing carbonic maceration and elevage in concrete for 8 months. The 2019 was a hotter vintage and has a little more tannin structure than previous years.

Tasting notes : Light, savoury fruit, dried herbs, fresh.

Food pairing : Perfect on it’s own, maybe with some of our natural Picholine olives.
