Lambrusco Maestri

Donati's family has been making Lambrusco for almost 100 years. The focus is on quality fruit from low yielding vines. It's made the old school way, by bottling unfinished wine and letting it complete fermentation in the bottle.

Camillo believes this way of doing things gives you a wine that is more vibrant and has a much longer life than Lambruscos made using the more industrial Charmat method that he says produces a “dead wine”.

Tasting notes : Strawberry, blackberry, rhubarb. Full-bodied, dry, lightly sparkling with some subtle tannin.

Food pairing : A really fun wine to pair ! Try this with pizzas, Parma ham or anything with lots of Parmesan !
