Portugal is famous for its sardines and high-quality seafood. In recent years, the vibrancy and creativity within its tinned fish culture have captured people's imaginations and become a global food phenomenon !
José Gourmet is the smallest fish cannery in Portugal, based just south of Porto. They source their fish fair trade at fish markets all along the Iberian Atlantic coast. The fish is then sent straight to Porto where their team prepares and tins the fish on the very same day that the fish has landed. This ensures the very best flavours and textures for the fish.
Aside from the exceptional quality of their fish, José Gourmet has become iconic because of its beautiful packaging. Each recipe is decorated with an illustration commissioned by a different illustrator. Their fish is delicious with some nice crusty bread and is perfect in a hamper or on a board !

Sauce/Seasoning : A mild and aromatic curry sauce.
Tasting Notes : Delicate and flaky trout fillets complemented by a creamy curry sauce that balances subtle heat with rich, aromatic spices.
Food Pairing : Ideal with crusty bread or served over steamed rice. Pairs well with a crisp white wine like Vinho Verde or a light-bodied red such as Pinot Noir.
Ingredients : Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), Curry Sauce (Rapeseed Oil, Water, Vinegar, Salt, Modified Starch, Mustard, Lemon Juice, Paprika Extract, Antioxidant (E385), Curry, Ground Chilies), Salt.

Storage Tips : Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, refrigerate and consume within 2 days.
