I Contadini’s Tomato, tuna and caper passata (250ml) combine the fruitiness of the tomato with the saline quality of the tuna and capers. This is a great sauce to use in ragouts, in a pasta dish or as a pizza base.
I Contadini tomatoes are grown organically in an open field in Ugento, Puglia, and harvested by hand throughout the months of July and August. They are scalded on the same day as harvest, ground and then naturally pasteurised. The tuna is caught in the Ionian sea.
