Topa (meaning "cheers" in Basque) brings a taste of San Sebastián's vibrant food scene. Simple, fun, and perfect for casual bites and drinks.
We are very excited to welcome his successor: Chef Chino González !
Chino was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He started his cooking journey as an apprentice at Michelin starred restaurants in the South of France and San Sebastiàn. These formative experiences gave him a grounding in both classical and modern techniques.
He then returned to South America and travelled to the US, where he experimented with wood fired cooking, raw fish and fermentation techniques. He’s now arrived in London, where he’s been running pop ups and showcasing his personal cuisine, a culmination of his travels which blends tradition with contemporary influences.
Chino will be in residence for the coming two months and his menu will celebrate the fresh Spring months, focusing on seasonal ingredients and flavours.

We’ve always had a fascination with the basque region because of its wealth of incredible produce and producers. We’ve spent years forging strong relationships with some of the best producers in the area and have organised many pop-ups to pay homage to their region. These events were always the most popular and fun for us to organise so we’ve decided to make it a regular thing. We’ll be bringing the feel of a bustling San Sebastián neighbourhood bar to North London 4 nights a week.
