Trebbiano, Malvasia, Sauvignon Blanc

From 16ha of biodynamically farmed vineyards in Montelupo Fiorentino, situated 20km from Florence in Tuscany Italy. The estate has remained in the same family since the 1860s with each generation remaining true to the traditions of organic farming. They describe their soils as 'ungrateful' - as they lack nutrients to sustain many crops aside from grapevines and olive groves. 

Prunecchio takes its name from the 30-year-old vineyard where the grapes are grown. The grapes are harvested by hand and then fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks for six months. These tanks keep oxygen away from the wine, helping maintain its fresh and fruity flavour.

Tasting notes : Peach, floral, marzipan. Quite textured with a touch of acidity to keep everything in balance.

Food pairing : This medium-bodied white wine would be a good match for pasta dishes, richer seafood like salmon, or even a soft cheese like Brie de Meaux.
