Glera

Ivano and Michele run a small, organic estate situated between the rivers Piave and Sile in the Treviso province. The Vineyards border the Conegliano and Montello hills, an area close to the Adriatic sea.

The name ‘Spago’ means string in Italian and refers to the orange string wrapped around the top of the bottle. The wine is fresh and lively, with great balance and fine bubbles. The wine is fermented at a temperature of 18-20°C. It is made using the Charmat method that allows the wine to go through the second fermentation in pressurized tanks. This short, tank fermentation preserves the freshness and the flavours of the grapes. Super easy frizzante for drinking anytime !

Tasting notes : Crisp, fresh and clean with notes of pear, citrus and just a little tropical fruit.

Food pairing : Ideal with an hivernal meat board, with some Parma ham, some slices of Coppa, and a chiffonade of Mortadella ! If you rather a cheese board : a creamy Camembert ou Brie de Meaux would be ideal, a Chaource if you want a Goat's cheese !
