Brie de Meaux

£6.00

Brie de Meaux was first produced in the middle ages. It was awarded King of Cheese in a European tournament in 1814 and has since been one of the most renowned French cheese. Our Brie is produced in the east of Paris, where it originally is from.

A pelle de Brie (slotted scoop) is used to transfer the curd to a large mold. The cheese is flipped over multiple times daily to keep it in shape. The rind is white/light brown with aromas of mushrooms, truffles and wet leaves. On the palate, it is gooey, with a mild bitterness and fruity notes.

Ingredients : Milk (cow's), Salt, Traditional rennet. Unpasteurised.
