Cannonau di Sardegna

The estate was founded in 1949 by Alberto Loi and is located at Ogliastra in eastern Sardinia. Today, the business is run by Alberto's children, who look after 50 hectares of mainly Cannonau vines. The soils are granitic and mineral-rich, and the climate is sunny with cooling sea breezes and little rainfall. The winery itself is state-of-the-art. It was completely renovated in 1990, and the wines are aged in Slovenian oak casks and French oak barriques.

'Sa Mola' is 100% Cannonau from the estate's youngest vines and is a warm and floral red with firm tannins.

Tasting Notes : Intense, complex, and delicately spicy on the nose. 

Food Pairing : A friend to all things ragu ! We think it would pair particularly nicely with La Dispensa’s Alpine Beef Ragu.
