Poon's is a reinvention of the Poon's brand under Amy Poon, the daughter of Bill and Cecilia Poon who ran a number of iconic Chinese restaurants from 1973 through to 2006. Amy's reinvention of Poon's has come in the form of a range of traditional Chinese cooking condiments, alongside Poon's Wontoneria, delivering freshly made pork wontons nationwide. At Provisions, we are lucky enough to stock Poon's range of condiments; 'Extraordinary Chilli Oil', 'Premium First Extract Soy Sauce', Chilli Vinegar Dressing and their 'WO Sauce'.

Poon's WO Sauce is their take on the Cantonese classic condiment XO Sauce. An umami-packed sauce traditionally made with dried scallops, cured ham, chilli and oil. Poon's WO Sauce uses more locally available ingredients, replacing dried scallops with dried shrimp and the traditional Jinhua ham for Poon's housemade wind-dried ham.

This sauce can be used in many ways to add a spicy, umami punch to any dish. No preparation or cooking is necessary. Add a dollop to your stir fry, meats, veggies or just atop a bowl of plain rice.
