Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

Minervois has long been known for making excellent wine. The Romans settled here in 843AD and planted vines on the gentle slopes of the Montagne Noire’s southern edge. This wine is produced by wife and husband team Nicole and John. Nicole grew up not far from here, in the city of Narbonne, whereas John had a slightly longer journey, moving to the south of France from Kentucky. 

This wine blends traditional grapes like Syrah with international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, so named because they are grown across the world. While the most famous examples of Cabernet come from Bordeaux, the grapes have been grown with great success in Mediterranean climates around the globe. 

Tasting notes : Plum, black cherry, blackberry. Medium-bodied with smooth tannins matched by crisp acidity.

Food pairing : A versatile wine that will pair nicely with a variety of foods. Perfect to bring along to a BBQ or a party !
