Grappin does Beaujolais differently. Based in the village of Beaune, Andrew Nielsen buys grapes from growers in overlooked and underappreciated parts of wine making regions throughout France. Andrew and his wife Emma split their time between London and Burgundy, returning to France to oversee harvest and the first stages of the winemaking, before returning to London in November to sell their wine.

This wine is part of his “Bagnum” range. Most of the carbon emissions associated with wine come from the transport of heavy glass bottles. By contrast, the light-weight bagnums cut emissions associated with these wines by up to 80%. The wine also stays fresh for two-three weeks after opening. 

Tasting notes: Red cherries, bubblegum, cinnamon. Light-bodied and fresh, great for chilling! 

Food pairing: Bring this handy Bagnum along to a dinner when you don’t know what’s cooking! It ticks a lot of boxes.
